Can Men and Women be JUST Friends????

Posted by yoMcLovin on February 22, 2011

Can Men and Women be JUST friends?

This is a question that has probably plagued mankind since the beginning of mankind.

If Adam and Eve called it quits with each other after that whole forbidden apple fiasco, could they still have remained friends and moved on with their separate love lives?.

Would Adam have felt some type of way seeing her with another man?. The man did give up a rib for her creation. Just imagine Adam meeting Steve (Eve’s new lover), I think the conversation may have went something like this:

Adam: Hey your Eve’s guy right wait wait it’s Maurice right?
Steve: Nah bro it’s Steve
Adam: oh yeah my bad that was the other guy, so anyway what’s up with you two I hear y’all are kicking it hard these days
Steve: well yeah we are things are actually going…….
(Adam cuts Steve off)
Adam: Btw I gave Eve one of my ribs.

Steve: Oh really
Adam: Dude I totally created her oh she didn’t tell you? if it weren’t for me she’d be a fish or something. But anyway man nice talking to you I have to roll. Tell Eve the rib-man said wad’up holla.

Or

Would Eve had been a vindictive (female dog in heat) by attempting to sabotage any relationship Adam was in by spreading false rumors around town?. She did at one point in time have the sole responsibility of creating mankind. If Eve had a Facebook I think some of her statuses would have looked like this:

What’s on your mind?: N.A.S LOL SB: where my dolls at? We out tonight…we bad you mad. Just get like us TAGGED: Shawquisha Jones, Mary TheVirgin Madelene

What’s on your mind?: my ex going to call me today talking bout can he see me #lame SB: me and my boy headed out to Jerusalem for the weekend no broke dudes over here

What’s on your mind?: My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard TAGGED: Adam

“Eve comments on Adam’s status”
What’s on your mind?: Club Sodom with the babe did 1 thing
Eve Likes this
Comment
Eve says:
Lol 🙂
Adam says:
What’s funny
Eve says:
Nothing you take all your girls there huh? Tell that b*tch to stay off my page too you better tell her before I do Adam

Crazy right? LOL

So maybe the question isn’t “Can men and women be JUST friends?”, maybe the question is “Can men and women with HISTORY be JUST friends”. I don’t think it’s possible. Me personally I have been on both sides of the fence. I just wanted to be friends and the female wanted more and vice versa. So I don’t think men and women can be JUST friends especially when they have a history together. I think this is because no matter how bad the past relationship was one of the two will still have some sort of feelings for the other, and those feelings will show through envy and hatred.

So if your thinking about being friends with you ex, be wary of the repercussions and bullsh*t that comes with it.

10 Ways a Good Woman Makes You Better.

Posted by yoMcLovin on December 31, 2010

When it comes to relationships, all any guy wants is a good woman.

Unfortunately, many of us have to go through a number of not-so-good women before we find the one that’s really worth the effort. Women say they have to kiss a lot of frogs before they find their prince. Well, men have to put up with a lot of princesses before they find a partner.

But when a guy finds the right girl it’s as if all the other aspects of his life fall into place. That’s the effect a good woman can have on you. A healthy and supportive relationship can make you a Better Man.

No.10 She makes you socialize

One of the top 10 ways a good woman improves you is by making you socialize. A lot of guys have a solitary streak. We like our privacy and value our alone time, but we can sometimes get so comfortable in our loner routine that we forget how much fun socializing can be. That’s why a good woman is so important.

Women are more social than men. Sociologists at the University of Manchester say that women are better at making friends; they form “deeper” and stronger connections than men do. Women also make up the majority of users on most major social networks. For instance, 57% of Facebook users are women. Women have an inclination toward community and society that can counter the solitary streak of even the most introverted guy.

A good woman will drag your lazy ass out to a party or to a bar, even when you put up a fuss. You’ll grumble about it while you’re getting ready, but when you’re out having a good time, you’ll thank her for it.

No.9 She makes you better in bed

How does a good woman make you better in bed? She challenges you. She keeps things fresh. She pushes the limits. When you’re in a relationship, by necessity, you have to keep sex interesting. Boredom is the enemy of monogamy. A relationship with a good woman, then, will necessarily involve sexual experimentation and lots of playtime between the sheets. Your sex life could become more adventurous than it was during even your wildest of oat-sowing phases.

No.8 She keeps you normal

Every guy has his hang-ups. We all have our own particular neuroses and insecurities. Maybe you’re a jealous guy or you periodically struggle with confidence. We all go through it. The problem is that, if left unchecked, our hang-ups can become serious obstacles to our happiness.

So, another one of the top 10 ways a good woman can improve you is by keeping those neuroses under control. Having another person by your side — someone who loves you — can be the cure-all for all those counterproductive tendencies.

No.7 She keeps you honest

Newsflash: sometimes men lie. We lie to our partners. We sometimes even lie to ourselves. We know it’s not a good thing, but we do it anyway. A good woman, however, keeps you honest. That’s another of the top 10 ways a good woman improves you.

She’ll make sure you’re telling the truth, not only to her, but to yourself. If you’re making excuses for why you can’t get that promotion, she’ll call you on it. If you’re wallowing in self-pity, she’ll call you on that too. A good woman knows you — maybe better than you know yourself.

No.6 She keeps you healthy

Keeping you healthy is another one of the top 10 ways a good woman improves you. Women are often more health-conscious than us guys are.

They count the calories in a salad like we count the strips of bacon on a cheeseburger.

A good woman is more likely to keep you eating right and going to the gym. She may even inspire you to stay healthy without pressuring or cajoling whatsoever. After all, having a hot, fit girlfriend is incentive enough to stay in good shape.

No.5 She focuses you on the future

Some relationships are transient, temporary or even disposable. You know them when you’re in them; they have an expiration date. A good relationship isn’t like that, though. While a good relationship is lots of fun in the present, it also gets you thinking about the future, and not only about the predictable stuff — like marriage and kids — but also about all the big picture stuff, like your career and life goals. And having a plan is never a bad thing.

No.4 She keeps you motivated

Not only is a good woman going to keep you focused on your goals, she’s also going to help you get there. It’s another one of the top 10 ways a good woman improves you. She’s a trusted adviser, and your head cheerleader. She has your career in mind. She keeps your eye not just on promotions and advancement, but also on your job satisfaction and happiness. Whether it’s reassurance or a swift kick in the pants, she’ll tell you what you need to hear when you need to hear it.

Moreover, when you have a good woman, you want to make her proud of you, and that’s maybe the biggest motivator of all.

No.3 She challenges you to try new things

A good woman improves you. She helps you become a more complete human being. Often that just means exposing you to things you’ve never tried before. Maybe it’s as simple as trying new foods or taking up yoga. Maybe it’s going on a backpacking excursion in Europe, or skydiving.

The point is that it’s both easier and more fun to try new things when you have someone by your side. You’re more likely to take chances when you’re with someone you trust. Ultimately, a good woman will help you become better-rounded.

No.2 She provides stability

There’s a lot to be said for stability. It’s one of the great virtues of a committed relationship. Consequently, we consider stability among the most important of our top 10 ways a good woman improves you. Think about it: Once you have the romantic and sexual part of your life locked down, once you’re no longer chasing phone numbers and dealing with breakup drama, how much more energy will you now have to focus on other areas?

When you have a good woman by your side — someone who will support you and stand by you through thick and thin — you’ll finally be able to open your own business or take a year to travel the globe. With a good relationship as your foundation, you are in a better position to pursue all your dreams and ambitions.

No.1 She sees the best in you

Topping our list of the top 10 ways a good woman improves you: She sees the best in you. When a great woman treats you like you’re the most capable and deserving guy in the world, it’s hard not to feel like the most capable and deserving guy in the world.

In other words, a good woman not only sees the best in you, she also helps you see the best in yourself.

If she’s after your money, she’s not a good woman — here are the Top 10: Signs She’s A Gold Digger. And if you’ve found a good woman, you should consider our Top 10: Places To Propose.

Skype 5.0 for Windows busts out of beta, integrates your Facebook friends

Posted by yoMcLovin on October 14, 2010

Nope, it’s not a Facebook “phone,” but it’s probably the closest you’re gonna get to one right now. Skype has just unleashed the no-longer-in-beta version of its 5.0 Windows software, and not only has it drastically tided up the interface, but just like the rumor said, it’s taken advantage of Facebook Connect in a big way. The new version, still has a familiar look and feel, but the most noticeable changes are the addition of photos to the contacts list and the new Facebook tab. Logging into your Facebook account within the program populates your regular News Feed, but also attaches Skype call / SMS buttons next to friends that have either their Skype handles or mobile phone numbers listed on Facebook. Hit one of the buttons and you’re, well, connected! There’s also an option to view your Facebook Phonebook, which basically lists all your contacts’ mobile phone numbers — though, oddly, it doesn’t list Skype handles within that area. Of course, the final version still allows for 10-way video calls and includes the automatic call recovery feature, which brilliantly reconnects dropped calls as if the drop didn’t really happen. If and when these features will hit Skype’s mobile version, your guess is as good as ours — a company spokesperson told us there’s nothing to talk about on that end right now. Of course, we could go on and on about the new software, or you could hit the source link, download it yourself, and let us know what you think about it below.

Update: Skype says the source link should work — even though it says it’s Skype 4.2, the software is 5.0.

5 Annoying Things Guys Do on Facebook (Presented by Cosmopolitan)

Posted by yoMcLovin on September 1, 2010

According to Cosmopolitan We do the following annoying things………

1. They Hide Their Relationship Status
The beauty of Facebook is that we can instantly find out if a guy is available or off-limits. No 30-minute talk in a bar, trying to suss out if he has a girlfriend waiting for him at home. But if that info is kept a secret, we’re forced to look through and analyze his photos and wall posts to figure it out — which makes us feel like stalkers. Guys: If you’re single, do us both a favor and make that info public knowledge. And if you’re part of a twosome, own up to it. Especially when we’re one of the two.

2. They Block Their Photos
We can understand a guy wanting to keep certain people from viewing his pictures. But seeing as how we’re not his mom, boss, or pastor, it bugs us when we can’t see a dude’s photos. Here’s the thing: We always imagine the worst. So when we’re kept in the dark and can’t click through a guy’s albums, we imagine he’s blowing lines, hooking up with two girls at once, or running around naked at a party. Unfair, but true. He’s not saving his reputation by blocking his photos. In fact, not being able to click on them makes us think a little less of him.

3. They Ask Us Out…in Front of All Our Friends
Next time a guy gets tempted to leave us a wall post that reads, “Let me know if you want to hang out sometime,” he should imagine standing up in front of a room full of our family, friends, ex-boyfriends, and coworkers and then asking us out. Because that’s essentially what he’s doing. We don’t want all 889 of our friends to be a part of the courting. Oh and P.S., we’d appreciate a little more effort. You know, maybe an old-fashioned e-mail or text like we see in those historic romantic comedies.

4. They Detag Themselves in Our Photos
This is the online equivalent of a guy pretending he’s just asking for directions when his friends catch him talking to us. There is something strangely offensive about scrolling through your recently uploaded albums and discovering that a guy you tagged has detagged himself. If a photo of the BBQ he ate last Saturday is profile-worthy, we can’t help but wonder why the nice shots with us get shunned.

5. They Let Their Stupidity Show
What is it about Facebook that makes even cool, down-to-earth guys post quotes like “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog,” write status updates that read, “Matt is giving out free mammograms,” and upload shirtless photos of themselves with wannabe-model gazes that they obviously took in the bathroom mirror? Maybe they think it’s funny or impressive, but the behavior only makes us roll our eyes.

5 Crazy Things Women Do On Facebook

Posted by yoMcLovin on September 1, 2010

The Facebook phenomenon has allowed you to reconnect with your best friend from elementary school, keep up with your buddy’s travels and get out of hours-long phone conversations with your aunt. It truly is a remarkable tool. However, as with most things, there is a dark side to Facebook. While your male brain may not have tapped in to the full manipulation potential of this seemingly innocuous social networking tool, chances are several of the women you know have. Women are trained in the art of creating, maintaining and controlling relationships, and Facebook is just one more resource they can use to keep tabs on and influence people. Here’s a list of some crazy things women do on facebook.

1. Women set up fake profiles to follow exes on Facebook

This one may seem a bit extreme, but it is certainly not unheard-of for a woman to set up a fake Facebook persona in order to creep on her ex’s profile. At the very least, she might get a mutual friend to allow her a little access to an ex’s Facebook page. Whether you broke up badly or it was mostly mutual, if you don’t keep in touch, she probably wants to know what you’re up to. Instead of calling or e-mailing you, it’s easier and less embarrassing to scope out your profile while you are blissfully unaware that she is checking up on you. If you want to prevent this from happening, don’t add any strangers to your friends list. If you have a friend you know is still in touch with her, keep your interactions limited.

2. Women manipulate through Facebook photos

The photos a woman posts on her profile can be innocent — or they can be totally manipulative. Another crazy thing women do on Facebook is to put up embarrassing or compromising photos of people that have gotten on her bad side. When a guy breaks up with a girl and the next day photos of him in one of her dresses hit her profile, it’s not only vindictive, but also pretty immature.

A woman might also use her Facebook photo albums to present an image of herself that doesn’t exactly match up to reality. In her photos she might appear more sexy, more adventurous and altogether more exciting than she is in real life.

3. Women post passive-aggressive Facebook status updates

The Facebook status update can share big news with your friends or the mundane activities of your day, but for some women they can also serve an emotionally manipulative purpose. Whether it’s because she hates confrontation or she just wants the world to know what a jerk her boyfriend is, some women use their status updates to air complaints about their relationship instead of sitting down and talking it out directly. For example: “Valerie visited the jewelery store and is tired of waiting!!!!” could be a not-so-subtle clue that she doesn’t want to wait for that engagement ring much longer. Post-breakup, a woman might post status updates that hint at a crazy social life: “Melanie is exhausted from a crazy night!” or “Jessica is having a great day,” are both the types of messages that say a lot more when they come right after a big breakup.

4. Women post ambiguous relationship photos

It’s not uncommon to see pictures of women with their arms around their friends, kissing them on the cheek, whether their friends are men or women. For some, these may be innocuous expressions of affection for their good friends, but for others they could be an attempt to elicit an envious response from their partners. These ambiguous photos with other guys could also cause other people to question the strength of her relationship with her boyfriend.

If it’s a single girl posting pics of her getting close to guys without making it clear whether or not they are dating, it can throw people off when they are thinking about making a move, causing them to be unsure of whether or not she’s already taken.

5. Posting a fake relationship status

Some unattached women choose “in a relationship” for their profile just so people won’t start matchmaking or single-girl-pitying. A single woman of a certain age is a prime target for people who think everyone should be paired off in “happily ever after” relationships. Some single women even arrange with one of their close girlfriends to be each other’s “in a relationship with” person to avoid this kind of condescending sympathy. They’d rather raise questions about their sexual orientation than leave the space blank.

Women do crazy things on facebook

Facebook can be a force for good when it’s used responsibly, but it can also be destructive to a relationship or a reputation if the person who wields the power thinks she can do so with impunity. Unfortunately, if she’s determined to keep it up, there’s not much you can do about any of these behaviors other than expressing your displeasure and asking her to cut it out. If she’s your girlfriend she should have enough consideration for you to hear you out. If she’s your ex, all you can do is kick yourself in the ass for agreeing to try on that dress in the first place.

WTF!! 3 Teens killed in 10 after being Placed on Facebook “Hit-List” In Colombia

Posted by yoMcLovin on August 25, 2010

The hit list on Facebook gave the people named three days to leave the town of Puerto Asis, Colombia, or be executed

(CNN.com) — Three teens who were on a 69-name hit list posted on Facebook have been killed in the past 10 days in a southwestern Colombian town, officials say.

Police say they do not know who posted the list or why the names are on it.

“It is still not clear,” Colombian national police spokesman Wilson Baquero told CNN. “This is part of the investigation.”

But officials note that a criminal gang known as Los Rastrojos and a Marxist guerrilla group called the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia operate in the area.

The hit list on Facebook, which was posted August 17, gave the people named three days to leave the town of Puerto Asis or be executed, said Volmar Perez Ortiz, a federal official whose title is defender of the public.

Police at first thought the posting was a joke, Perez said in a statement issued Saturday. But the publication of a second list with 31 additional names led authorities to convene a special security meeting Friday, Perez said.

The posting of the lists and the meetings occurred after the first two killings, which took place August 15, Perez said.

On that day, officials say, 16-year-old student Diego Ferney Jaramillo and 17-year-old CD retailer Eibart Alejandro Ruiz Munoz were shot and killed while riding a motorcycle on the road between Puerto Asis and the town of Puerto Caicedo.

Both their names were later found on the first published hit list.

Also on the list was Norbey Alexander Vargas, 19, who was killed August 20, Perez said. Another young man, 16-year-old student Juan Pablo Zambrano Anacona, was wounded in the same incident when he gave chase to the assassins, Perez said.

Colombian media said Monday the number of those threatened has grown and panic has overtaken Puerto Asis, with some parents sending their children out of town because their names are on the Facebook notice.

The names of 31 women were posted on the other list, said Radio RCN, semana.com and other news outlets.

Residents have been overcome with “panic and anxiety,” several news outlets quoted Putumayo state official Andres Gerardo Verdugo as saying.

Several of those residents posted their concerns on Twitter, an online messaging site.

“Panic in Puerto Asis, Putumayo, because of threats against young people,” wrote a user who goes by JuanSepulvedah. “Our youth must be protected.”

Someone who posted under the name JulianEco brought up the Facebook connection.

“The situation in Puerto Asis is tenacious, that a social site be used to add fire to the Colombian conflict,” the post said.

Twitter user hugoparragomez likened the situation to the drug-fueled crime waves in other Colombian cities.

“What is happening in Puerto Asis, Putumayo, is grave, the same as in Medellin,” the tweet said. “Authorities should take control of the situation. Who is investigating?”

Still others inflated the death count.

“In Puerto Asis they have killed 20 young people threatened on Facebook and the authorities have not said anything,” wrote jesusmhenriquez “That is Colombia.”

Federal officials say they are taking the threats seriously and have sent investigators from Bogota, the nation’s capital, to Puerto Asis. Internet experts are among the investigators assigned to the case.

Authorities also are offering a reward of 5 million pesos (around $2,750) for information on the killings.

Perez, the federal defender of the public, noted that the Los Rastrojos criminal gang is active in Puerto Asis, “executing violent actions, resolving community conflicts, imposing living and conduct norms, intimidating and meting punishment against … drug sellers and consumers, sex workers, people with criminal and unlawful histories and threatening social leaders, business people, taxi drivers and motorcycle taxi drivers.”

Perez said the Marxist guerrillas, commonly known as the FARC, also are active in the remote area, which borders Ecuador.

Two Facebook representatives did not return a message Tuesday asking for comment.
