College Basketball Player Changes Sexual Distinction From Female To Male. Becoming NCAA’s 1st Transgendered Athlete. Should This Be Allowed?

Posted by yoMcLovin on November 3, 2010

I saw this story on CNN this morning and I simply don’t agree with this ruling by the NCAA.

George Washington University basketball player Kay-Kay Allums has been allowed by the NCAA to change her sexual distinction from female to male. Although she has not undergone any surgery and will not be allowed to undergo testosterone therapy while competing.

Instead of Kay-Kay, her name is now Kye Allums. She is being labeled as the first ever transgender player in NCAA Division ! basketball history.

The 21-year old Allums says she has been a tomboy all of her life, and now considers herself a brother to her teammates.

This means a lot,” Allums said. “I didn’t choose to be born in this body and feel the way I do. I decided to transition, that is change my name and pronouns because it bothered me to hide who I am, and I am trying to help myself and others to be who they are, I told my teammates first, and they, including my coaches, have supported me. My teammates have embraced me as the big brother of the team. They have been my family, and I love them all.

Ok, so if you are considered a man, should you be allowed to play on a woman’s team and vice versa? Where do you draw the line?

Delonte West Finally Addresses Rumors of Knocking Off LeBron’s Mom

Posted by yoMcLovin on September 29, 2010

Delonte West kept his mouth shut after a firestorm of rumors emerged after their loss to Boston in the playoffs that West was bangin’ Bron’s mother.  Here’s what Delonte had to say about the matter:

His Celtics homecoming seemed to bring some peace to Delonte West, so much so that yesterday during media day he was smiling, which was a rarity last season in Cleveland. Reporters were told only to ask questions pertaining to basketball, squeezing much of the anticipation from West’s first interview in more than a year.

But then a reporter from a local radio station asked West the question that basketball fans, entertainment buffs, gossip columnists, and the entire Northeast Ohio region had been wondering about since the Cavaliers were eliminated from the NBA playoffs last May.

Did West have an intimate relationship with Gloria James, the mother of two-time Most Valuable Player and former teammate LeBron James?

Before a frantic team official could intervene, undoubtedly fearing West might react with four-letter words, or perhaps clam up altogether, as he did last season, West took a deep breath, stared the reporter in the eye, and addressed whether the rumors were true.

“Not at all,’’ he said. “I come from an era where you don’t say nothing bad about someone’s parent, so not at all.’’

MontMcLovin- Sounds like he’s hiding something.

Allen Iverson might be headed to China

Posted by yoMcLovin on September 14, 2010

Allen Iverson’s(notes) 2009-10 season didn’t go quite as he planned. After three games coming off the bench with the Grizzlies, he decided he hated coming off the bench for the Grizzlies and left the team. Then — after AI’s brief retirement — because they’re suckers for nostalgia, the 76ers brought Iverson back for a 25-game stint that ended with Iverson leaving the team to address his 4-year-old daughter’s health problems. A divorce and allegations that Iverson was gambling and drinking excessively followed. All in all, not a great few months for one of the NBA’s biggest stars of the past decade.

This past July, Iverson Tweeted that he wants to “return to the NBA this season” and that he “[owes his] fans more than what they have seen of [him] the last couple seasons.” Plus, his “family is rock solid and healthy” and he can “concentrate fully on what [he does] best.” That’s a quote festival, but it basically addresses everything that was troubling Iverson during last season.

Unfortunately for the Answer, there aren’t a lot of NBA teams dying to sign a shoot-first 35-year-old who is going to complain about his role on the team if he’s not happy. But that doesn’t mean he can’t get back to playing basketball professionally. There are good leagues all over the globe and new reports, courtesy of The Hoops Market, shed a little light on Iverson’s possible plans.

Allen Iverson could continue his career in China. The 35-year-old guard is in talks with Foshan (the new name of Shaanxi) for the next season, according to sources from the Chinese team. Iverson, still a free agent after not signing a contract with any NBA team, would have a “strong desire” to play in the CBA.

Hey, if there’s a place that scoring guards can succeed both on the court and away from it, it’s China. As Stephon Marbury(notes) has shown us, Chinese basketball for super-quick ball-handlers is all 3-pointers, alley-hoops and shoe franchises. And if Stephon Marbury can be an outrageous success, then so can a lot of other people.

Of course, there remains a month and a half before the NBA season tips and some teams might still be convinced that Iverson has some floaters left in the tank (gross metaphor). Plus, they always seem to be drawn to Iverson’s ability to lure customers to the ticket booths, so there’s a chance he could get a non-guaranteed veteran’s minimum deal somewhere. But, at the very least, it looks like Allen Iverson is going to have a basketball job this season. For a guy who’s had a pretty rough year, that’s good news.

GOLDEN PARACHUTE!! LEBRON JAMES REPORTEDLY AGREES TO PAY HIS BABYS MOTHER $25M . . . IF THEY BREAK UP!!!

Posted by yoMcLovin on August 31, 2010

MediaTakeOut.com has been hearing a CHORUS OF CRITICISM from women claiming that Savannah was being used by her babys father, NBA superstar LeBron James. But now, MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVELY learned that Savannah’s a lot shrewder businesswoman than many gave her credit for.

According to a VERY RELIABLE NBA insider, LeBron negotiated a $25 MILLION DEAL with Savannah. And under the terms of the reported deal, Savannah would receive the money “in case their relationship ends.”

The insider explain, “It’s actually a paternity/confidentiality agreement, many NBA players have it with their child’s mothers. But LeBron’s is a lot more detailed and Savannah gets a lot more than most.”

The deal, the snitch tells MediaTakeOut.com, guarantees Savannah a lump sum of $25 MILLION if she and LeBron separate. In exchange, Savannah is NOT ALLOWED to talk about LeBron to the public.

DANG GIRL!!! We ain’t know you were THAT KINDA Businesslady . . . we got new respect of rthe chick now!!!
